Non Sibi was founded as a string duo in 2014 by violinist Mari Stanton and cellist Phoebe Wang. In early 2018, violinist Mary Beth Ervin and violist Misa Stanton were added to form a quartet. The group has performed at various fundraisers and charity events, including the Denver Young Artists Orchestra (DYAO) gala, the Dominican Derby gala, and the 31:20 nonprofit Christmas Marketplace. Additionally, they frequently give outreach performances around the Denver metro area. All four musicians are members of DYAO. The name “Non Sibi” is a Latin phrase meaning “not for oneself.” Our mission is to share our music with the community.
